Impact Ventures, was founded in 2016 to address the lack of community, education resources, networks, and access to venture capital for underrepresented Women and Minorities building tech startup and high growth enterprises in North Texas.
Since our inception, we’ve hosted numerous panel discussion, networking events, tech focused workshops, and corporate hackathons impacting nearly 1000 individuals. Our main goal through these initiatives or pilots focused on proving our theory of change, stakeholder development, community building, and data collection.
With a strong foundation laid, we are uniquely positioned to create a framework for building inclusive tech ecosystem leveraging best practices from research and studies implemented by organizations like Village Capital in D.C., Kapor Center in Oakland, CA Black Tech Mecca, in Chicago, IL and Goodie Nation in Atlanta, GA. We believe Dallas-Ft Worth can be the next big tech hub for minorities professionals and entrepreneurs that create access to generational wealth, reduced poverty, and community vibrancy.
